When is Enough Vegies Enough?

We are supposed to eat at least 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegetables every day for good health. How many of us are actually eating enough vegies?
Eating plenty of fruit and vegetables can reduce the risk of heart disease, some cancers, overweight and obesity, and constipation. They can also help to reduce blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels and improve control of diabetes.
One serve of fruit is 1 medium piece, 2 small pieces or 1 cup of chopped or canned fruit.One serve of vegetables is half cup cooked vegetables or cooked legumes, 1 medium potato of 1 cup salad vegetables.
Vitamin A is found in dark green, yellow and orange fruit and vegetables such as carrot, pumpkin, spinach and rockmelon. Vitamin C is found mainly in tomatoes, capsicum, cabbage and citrus fruit. Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, turnip, swede and brussels sprout.
